- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price my services on a fee based on scope of work or by an hourly rate. Custom residential projects typically run $1 per square foot for architectural design/permit documents. Structural engineering detailing is available for additional fee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend local software update training sessions and work one on one with residential home builders to keep abreast as to the latest trends and construction techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like to explore the possibilities, I have a deep, abiding passion for what "could be". Simply put, I am intrigued by art and math. My parents instilled in me that most things in life have a math equation relevant to them. I use visualization (art) to see math in the world. I fell in love with drawing early as a young kid when I first learned to create with pencil and paper from my mom's purse, to keep me occupied while we were waiting. My mom knew that it was best to keep me busy or else I would act like I had ants in my pants. I studied drafting in 9th grade and took drafting all through high school. Drafting connects art and math for me, literally!
