What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love meeting with clients and just talking about their projects and hopes for their new space. It’s my job to take their wishes and come up with concrete plans of how to get it done taking into account finish level and budget. Once we’ve nailed down this plan I make sure to stay in close contact to ensure everything stays on track from planning and material procurement through to the final walkthrough.
I also do not take down payments or deposits from customers. I run a business with sufficient operating capital and it’s my belief that contractors should be paid for work when they’ve completed it not for work they plan on doing in the future. I also purchase materials on behalf of the client and submit those receipts on invoices for reimbursement. This is a service I provide that helps to streamline the process of material procurement for day to day operations.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started from a young age with a dad who did remodeling work on our personal home. I progressed from there to doing small projects to home flips and custom work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many different clients from real estate investors where budget is top priority all the way through to clients who want custom work with very high finish standards.
