FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I have a VERY focused education and training that relates to tutoring. I was hired by the United States Air Force as a civilian contractor to help adults with disabilities work on computers and I enjoyed the experience greatly. I was helping veterans and civilians move Air Force records from paper to paperless. Therefore, this process is labor intensive and computer intensive and sometimes the systems or the humans breakdown. I was there to help. I now use what I learned there at the United States Air Force at Lowery Air Force Base to help my students. I developed more patience and I developed a greater listening sense. This helps me and the student communicate more effectively and allows me to identify the challenges of the student sooner. Thus I am able to help and our tutoring session, a one hour session, will be more efficient and we can finish a lesson and do more in an hour than expected. We can do more review. I will share more tips in testing anxiety. I will share more homework tips. We can do more problems not assigned and test our newly developed step by step method to grow confidence in our newly developed method. This gives more material to review for finals and future exams. Confidence is a very important component in success in Math and many other subjects in school from preschool to university and beyond.
