FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer multiple options to work with us. Our 'Designer For A Day' package is typically for clients that wish to be more hands on and implement the designs themselves. The cost covers the reservation of a designer for up to 6 hours within a day. You'll be guided in whatever you need by one of our designers. DFAD is a short relationship with a flat fee of $1500. We also offer full interior design services for new builds, remodels, and whole home furnishings and décor. Our full service design is charged by an hourly rate and billed at the end of the month. Full Service Design is ongoing with the ability to easily add onto your project as needed but it does require a minimum of $2500 in design work. If you aren't sure which service would work best for you and your project, we can help guide you to the more appropriate service during our exploration call....the first step to any project with us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We recognize that clients needs vary and offer different ways to work with us. We begin each process with a no obligation exploration call to help guide clients on which process makes the most sense for them. Our Designer for a Day projects progress through the following steps: 1- Exploration Call: A no obligation 15-30 minute call for us to discuss your project scope, needs, & goals in order to see if we’ll be the right fit. 2- Services Guide: You'll receive a service guide detailing who we are and what to expect regarding our process, fees and frequently asked questions. 3- Calendar Link To Schedule Your Designer and pay for the service. 4- Link to fill out your design questionnaire & optional homework. That way we can dive into your style preferences and prepare ourselves to hit the ground running on your designer day! 5- Design Day: You'll be assisted in whatever you need by one of our designers. They will help answer questions and complete interior design tasks you're in need of on your scheduled design day. 6- Follow-Up Email With All Documents Completed For Your Project Our full-service design projects progress through our 8 step process: 1- Exploration Call: A no obligation 15-30 minute call for us to discuss your project scope, needs, & goals in order to see if we’ll be the right fit. 2- On-Site Consultation or Walk-through: We’ll walk your home or review your plans to give tangible advice and have a deeper understanding of your vision. 3- Contract: You’ll receive a proposal for your project and our terms of service for your approval and signing. 4- Style & Concept: We’ll interpret your unique style based off your needs and answers from our style questionnaire. 5- Design: Once we have your unique style, we get busy creating the design of your dreams down to the last detail. 6- Implementation & Project Management: We’ll handle the details to ensure your design is executed to the highest standards so your dream home can become your reality. 7- Installation: We’ll put all the last touches in place so you can arrive and immediately start enjoying your home to its fullest. 8- Project Close: We’ll gather all your project documents for your records and professionally photograph your home. Finally, you get to enjoy it!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have interior design degrees with honors and awards for our work in multiple states. More importantly, we have the experience! We’ve both had impressive careers in the industry before starting our own firm here in Denver. Now with House Meraki we've had the opportunity to work alongside the best vendors, builders, contractors, and clients. We've helped our clients visualize their desires and wishes into their spaces and we've also helped them navigate shortcomings. Our experience helps prevent many possible future problems but when something unaccounted for comes up we provide the best solutions and help you navigate them according to your priorities.
