FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I do pursue continued education in the realm of coaching via classes. In addition, I also try to stay up to date on many Positive Psychology, Leadership, and Self Help books and strategies.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
People always told me to be a motivational speaker. The truth is I always loved helping people and I seriously get so cheesy when good things happen for people. I had no idea that I could actually leverage my strengths in coaching until recently. So I pursued a coaching certification with IPEC and left my job in corporate America and here I am today! Of course there's a back story. Like many I had some challenging experiences that shaped my mentality ever since I was young. I valued life at a young age and many always told me I was wise beyond my years. The truth is I was just persistent, optimistic, and tried to find the fun. That is what got me through and that is also what I try to use in my practice. Why career coaching? I invested nearly a decade of my time in corporate America and was miserable. I made some mistakes but I learned a lot. I saw a lot of women that didn't speak their minds and stand up for themselves and it would drive them crazy and me too! I also saw many women playing small and not taking the leaps. At the end of the day I want to empower women to find happiness in their careers and stand up and be amazing leaders that are confident and driven for success.
