FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do indeed! I am currently attending school at the Art Institute of Colorado and am pursuing my Bachelors degree in commercial photography. Additionally, I am a member of multiple photography clubs in the Denver Metro area.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When you're looking for a photographer it's always best to provide as much information as possible so we can give you an accurate quote for our service. Think about these questions... Is this an event? What will these photos be used for? How many people does this involve? Would you like a CD? Will you want prints? Where would you like the pictures taken? Is this project time sensitive? And always explain what you want in as much detail as possible. Just saying you need head shots or family portraits can mean a number of things.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew the time photographers put into their work. It's always a battle to make customers understand pricing. They hear a price and only realize the time spent physically taking photos, but my job is far from done at point. I spent at least fifteen minutes editing each individual photo, and often even longer on photos that are portraits or headshots. Additionally, we spend time making CDs, categorizing files, and spend lots of money of the prints and albums included in packages. It's a lot of work, and I think if customers could oversee the entire process for a day they would never question the prices again.
