I have had low back pain for 12 years. I was referred to Tara by a friend at work, and I worked with her for about 2 years. She is very in tune with my symptoms and the best way to modify a workout depending on the symptoms I am displaying on a given day. After 9 months, Tara suggested I consider doing Physical Therapy (PT). I was reluctant, having been there already, but she persisted and after much digging on her part she found someone who also had a member of staff that did Pilates, thinking that the combined disciplines would be beneficial. I had nothing to lose so I went in for an evaluation and did PT for about a year, and it has really made a difference in my pain. It seems the combination of Pilates and PT are very good for working out the kinks in my back. I highly recommend Tara.

As a member of Pura Vida in Cherry Creek I had the opportunity to try a Pilates class. Having never done Pilates I was hesitant to try something that wasn't manly or required the lifting of weights, etc. so with trepidation I signed up for my first Pilates class with Coleen Glenn-Wilson and I have to say it was a life altering experience. Being mid 60's, overweight and a borderline diabetic Colleen was instrumental in improving my health and over the next 3 years I worked with her weekly in private and small classes. It wasn't inexpensive and it was always challenging physically but it was an investment in me. Unfortunately, Colleen now lives and works in Boulder and I live in Castle Rock over 60 miles apart so when she stopped training in Denver I had to find an alternative which was that I bought a Peak Pilates reformer for at home and because she trained me so well I am able to work out on my own and the reformer is a part of my conditioning program. I would whole heartedly recommend Colleen to anyone if they want to have a trainer that cares and will train you in the true Joseph Pilates methods.

Wendy brings to pilates all of her extensive physical therapy training and experience. I've done pilates on reformers at health clubs and injured myself. Not with Wendy! Her knowledge of how to adjust an exercise to prevent a person from hurting themselves is OUTSTANDING!! There might be seven people in a class each doing different levels and she keeps it all together so smoothly. And, I should add there is nowhere else you will find someone as caring and concerned about your welfare as Wendy is. It's FUN too! All shapes, abilities and sizes and ages working together. Been working with Wendy for three years now. She was recommended to me by another physical therapist. I know she is highly thought of in the medical and physical therapy communities. My doctor thinks she is the best!!
