If you are looking for a guitar instructor that is personable, approachable, intelligent, patient, adaptable to the needs of the learner, and a generally phenomenal teacher in every way? Well, your goals might be a tad lofty, but somehow that person does exist and his name is Scott. I had a rough journey when I started learning guitar, hopping from instructor to instructor, not really making a tangible connection to the material through how it was being presented to me. Then we landed on Scott, and I could not have been more thankful. While many of the instructors I had worked with prior were good guitar players, they were not remarkable teachers for my needs. Scott, however, knew exactly how to present the material in a way that made sense to absorb. Scott knows the importance of building the fundamentals and ensured that it was presented in an approachable and understandable way. If you want to learn guitar, Scott is not just who you want, he is who you need. I will forever be grateful that I could have Scott as my instructor and the effect he has had on me will continue to ripple throughout my musical journey for the rest of my life. I could not recommend him more. - Oliver

We’ve been very happy with having live guitarlessons for our son. Our teacher is great & the communication from the team is prompt & helpful. We have a plan & our teacher has been very flexible with adding another student from our family. This is not a one & done. We hope to have many lessons from Traveling Music Lessons.

Tess and her team at Traveling Music Lessons are incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. They are always accommodating when we need to make changes due to weather or other reasons. Additionally, Blake, who teaches guitar to my daughter, is fantastic. She eagerly looks forward to her lessons every week. We are grateful to Traveling Music Lessons for being exactly what we were looking for!

I’ve only taken about a few lessons and this team rocks my socks (pun intended). The owner, Tess, was my first lesson. She was amazing, she gave me a hint of musical theory and more to understand how to pursue my goals. Then I got lined up with my music teacher, Mike. He is wonderful! Versed in all sorts of different genres. He can listen to a song and simplify it for you. He is very patient and personable. He shows me how to teach my hand how to gain that muscle memory. I have already learned how to play most of Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (my choice), and gotten into Swing Life - Rise Against. Strumming patterns and some chords. I am a pretty high maintenance person with learning and was skeptical at first to try someone I wasn’t referred to…BUT I highly recommend this service.
