First of all, we use "green" cleaning products instead of the cheaper, harsh chemicals that other companies do. Secondly, our staff is far more highly educated than the norm in our industry. In addition to having over 60 years combined experience, our techs are all IICRC Certified in such fields as Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning, Odor Control, Water Damage Restoration, and Stone, Masonry and Tile Cleaning. In addition, company president Richard Carpenter is a Certified Master Rug Cleaner specializing in the care and cleaning of fine Oriental, Persian and other area rugs from around the world. Stellar job again by Ultra Steam in Durango. I will only be using these guys for my carpet/upholstery cleaning service. Mark showed professionalism and was clearly an expert in his job. He was able to remove old coffee and food stains from our carpet newly laid down carpet from 6 months ago. The equipment is heavy duty and Mark did all the pre-treatment stuff to get the best results. Overall, I have only had good experiences with this company and it really makes a difference when it's run by people who care about the quality of their work. Way to go Ultra Steam and thank you Mark! I will be considering the grout cleaning service as well : ).I also have to mention the products used did not have an overpowering smell, like most carpet cleaners. Sometimes I have felt you could not be in a room a few days after carpet cleaning because of the chemical smell. This was not the case. The smell is super mild (even with the deodorizer that added, which had a mint smell).

Richard is the best in Durango, hands down. I have tried the others, and there is no one who cares about their customers and the quiality of service like UltraSteam! They follow up, they give a warranty, they express that something may come back up in this area in a couple days, and if so they take care of it! Absoluteloy supirior price and service over the others here. I have used them for nearly 20 years now!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is by the square foot, and varies based on furniture to be moved and the condition of the carpet. For instance, a house not cleaned for 2 years with numerous pet stains will take longer to clean and require the use of more specialized spotting agents than one that has been maintained every 6 months and has no urine spots!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule an appointment to inspect the carpet or flooring to be cleaned and provide an exact quote, based o the actual size and condition, as well as how much furniture needs to be moved.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our technicians are IICRC Certified. The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification and is the worldwide industry leader for education, standards and certification in the cleaning and restoration industry.
