- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per lesson, not by the hour. I try to relay a lot of information and keep the brain moving, but not overwhelm my students. Definitely try to keep you on your toes! Musical games, some theory and ear-training, and lots of listening!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we would meet and talk about what the student would like to achieve. I would listen to them play a bit, and ask questions to get a sense of how I could help them achieve their goals! Above all, I like to make learning music fun, and that would remain a goal throughout our time together...
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA and MM in Trumpet Performance, and I have been performing professionally for 20 years. In addition, I play a number of secondary instruments, compose and write lyrics for songs.
