What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I recently introduced a new pricing structure for websites. For redesigns with existing content and you are looking for a fresh look and better SEO my Website charge is $399. Hosting and Maintenance (updating website background software) is billed at $99/month. Any additional pages over 7 pages is billed at $80 per page.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I learn something new every day. If I feel you are going in the wrong direction, I will mention it and give you reasons why and show you examples. Bottom line is - this is your website and while I provide guidance and information, you are in the driver's seat!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with small and medium sized businesses in the Northern Colorado area. I prefer to have you write content and provide photos. If you need writing services I can provide writing as well, however that is an extra charge.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am actually int he process of upgrading my own site! I thought it was time. Once I decided on the new 2017 website ideas, it was easy. It's nearly done - just took me 4 days.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be fairly clear about the purpose of your website or blog. Are you looking to just be informative or are you wanting customers to purchase goods and services from your site. Know your goals.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Who is going to update and maintain your website information? With your website acting as literally the front door to your business, you should put your best foot forward and have recently dated information and specials on the home page. Keep your information dynamic not static. Who is going to ensure it is an active site? An employee? Your web person? You? Make sure you have a plan.
