- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a sliding-scale basis. You tell me what you can pay, and we work out an agreement that you will pay a certain amount per session. You do not have to show me proof of income or any other paperwork; I do this because i believe everyone should have access to therapy when they need it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course. I attend conferences and workshops, I read articles and books, and I meet with others to get as much information as I can.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I started going to therapy for my own needs I had a hard time finding a therapist who met my needs. As I worked through my own issues and became aware of the many areas therapists specialize in, I realized that I wanted to be a good therapist for others, and adjusted my educational goals to match.
