- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?A basic one-page resume begins @ $25. Most resumes will come in @ $45. Additional fees may be incurred for job search assistance, interview practice, etc., which are optional services. Rates are quoted @ the time of your initial FREE 45" consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Customers are referred to me both through Thumbtack & word of mouth. Many of them are referred by previous clients. I typically arrange a meeting in my office to review the client's work history & career expectations. I use a checklist to make certain the basic format is covered. I review any paperwork & references with the client. I answer their questions & develop a resume build plan. My personal goal is to have a draft of the cover letter & resume back to them within 48 hours. This time may vary somewhat depending on workload. All resumes are checked for spelling, format, & grammar. Dates & contact information are checked & verified. A scoring system is used for keywords & format. The client receives a clean original (upon request a packet of 20 on quality paper). The packet includes a professionally written cover letter. Our service includes our promise of three free future resume updates. Resumes are maintained in our office for six months after the original service date. We do offer our consulting services including job search, interview practice, & support for an additional fee. Our services are also available through the internet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I review and am updated on current changes of employment law through BLR and other agencies, such as updates in labor laws from the Department of Labor. I receive several magazines related to employer-employee relations, updated trends and formats in resumes, interviewing, and hiring. I frequently attend workshops and industry presentations.
