FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I dont charge per animal.. I charge per hour. If you have 5 horses or 5 dogs, it's going to be the same charge as if it were one horse or one dog. It's that simple. If you live farther then 10 miles from me there is a fuel fee of $10 for round trip. I'm very flexible. I want to give reliable care for anyone needing it, especially in a jam. I will take on jobs last minute. No problem! Sometimes there are circumstances that make it difficult to find a professional in a days moment. There is no extra charge for last minute bookings.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to a CPR class for dogs at JAX Outdoor... other then that just personal experience w/ my own and clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was so obvious to me one day in October that I should be doing this. That was 4 years ago. I have dreamed of having my own farm like the one I grew up on and since that isn't in the cards for me, then doing this was what I needed and wanted to do. My first big job was a farm way out in the country. They had livestock, birds, including turkeys and 5 dogs. The woman was leaving soon and the person she had lined up to feed her farm friends had backed out on her last minute. It was a great feeling to help her when she needed someone fast! The gratification of doing a job well done is important to me.
