Slap Happy Music Studio

Introduction: My name is Felicia Behm, and I am the owner of Slap Happy Music Studio. I received a bachelor of music from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, where I studied percussion (including classical, Brazilian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Afro-Cuban, and body percussion), music education, and conducting. My dream was to create a place where students have the opportunity to explore the diverse world of music without the limits that are often placed on them. Slap Happy is the culmination of that dream, allowing students to discover what instruments and styles of music really speak to them. I teach percussion, piano, body percussion, flute, Brazilian drumming, and West African drum and dance to students ages 5 and older. I am very excited to also have eight other teachers on my staff, expanding our offerings to include: --Woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone) --Brass (trumpet, trombone, baritone) --Strings (violin, viola, cello) --Percussion (classical, marching, world, and drum set) --Guitar --Voice (for children and beginning adults) --Music Theory (both individual and group) Slap Happy Music Studio is a place for musicians of all ages, all abilities, and all interests. From the 5 year old taking his first piano lesson to the 75 year old using hand drumming as her meditation, Slap Happy has something for everyone. Do you want to develop motor skills? We can do that. Do you want to find a way to express yourself? Slap Happy does that. Do you want to take out your frustrations on something big and loud? Definitely.
