Gabriela help me with the color palette, window treatments, referring contractors for painting, crown molding, and tile work. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?No complicated prices. My hourly fee is $85.00. A lot can be accomplished in an hour, since I have been doing this for many years and I do not have to re-invent the wheel every time I get a new client. I also pro-rate charges. For example: If I go to pick the most beautiful tile for your project and I also take the opportunity to pick tile for another project or two, I charge my clients 1/3 of the time each and pro-rate travel as well. I have a proposal that I give my clients after we met for the first time( my initial consultation is always complimentary). Once I know the scope of the project and the level of involvement a client requires, I draw the proposal that I mentioned. It contains specific details of service and cost of the same. You are welcome to revise the proposal and if you like add or delete costs and services to fit your individual needs. There is never a surprise or a charge you did not approve first.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with them for a complimentary initial consultation. During this consultation, I learn about their likes, dislikes, the scope of the project and answer all the questions that my clients may have. I then customize a proposal depending on my clients needs, wants and budget and then we get to implement it. There is never a charge for phone calls or email communications!. I want to be available to answer any of your questions and make sure you are satisfied not only with great results, but along the way during the process as well!.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I got trained as an interior architect at UC Berkeley in California. Their graduate level training is incredibly current and taught by industry professionals. I also regularly attend conferences, trade shows, write for publications and professional organizations I belong to, that keep me abreast of the new and best. I visit show rooms daily, so when I visit my sources, I get the new and improved, the beautiful and innovative.
