Introduction: Juniper Road Studios, LLC was founded in 2016 in Houston, Texas by Mindy Markley. Originally Juniper Road Studios focused primarily on residential renovations and remodels. However, after relocating to Denver, Colorado in 2019, Juniper Road Studios expanded to include full service residential and commercial interiors and architecture services. At the helm of the company is husband and wife duo Robert and Mindy Markley. Together they have over 35 years combined experience in almost every market segment. Robert has a very hands on technical approach to design. As a licensed architect his construction knowledge and code expertise guides any project through thorough and accurate documentation. Mindy has a background that spans many different scopes and styles. That allows her draw on that vast foundation to bring a unique perspective to each and every project. Together Robert and Mindy collaborate to lead a team of diverse, talented designers to create specialized, unique and sustainable solutions to a wide array of design challenges.

Mindy was the best thing to happen to us in 2020. After too much debate between all the opinions involved in my project she came in and set us down the right path. Her vision from the beginning was clear and beautiful. We did a full remodel and with her expert guidance we were under contract the first weekend we listed with competing offers and well above asking price. Beyond this, she took extra steps to make sure we were able to get through the city with architectural plans and was the full service designer we have always wished for. Thank you again for all that you do Mindy, I look forward to working with you more in the future.

I had a great experience with Mindy. I have never used a designer before and didn't have a ton of money to spend on the design phase of our project. However, I really had no idea what to do with our bathroom remodel, and wanted the expertise of a designer. Mindy made me feel comfortable that she could work with a "Not to Exceed" budget, so that I was not worried about sticker shock of the end price. I would recommend working with her to anyone, whether the project be large or small. She was prompt and professional in her communication and the quality of work was on point. I will not hesitate to re engage Mindy for future projects in our house. Everyone should feel like they can use a designer to make their forever home perfect, and Mindy is the one for that.

I worked with Mindy on not one but two renovations. First in a master bedroom and kitchen remodel then on the complete gut and remodel of a 1960s home. These are my thoughts: - Mindy has a great personality and is fun to be around. - Mindy doesn’t just lean toward one design aesthetic. She would have options for me, and I would see options she pulled for other clients who clearly had other design goals. She responds to her clients’ preferences. - I felt I could be honest with Mindy. She didn’t get her feelings hurt in the event she showed me an option that I thought was terrible. That didn’t happen often, but I felt could be completely frank, which I valued. - She understands her clients. I had/have small kids who ruin everything- you know the saying- you can’t have nice things! I’ve had other designers offer some beautiful but ridiculously impractical materials or pieces. As a mom herself, Mindy knows what looks great and will stand up to kids who seem to have a singular mission to mess up anything pretty in the house. - Mindy gets bang for your buck. She mixes beautiful expensive materials with beautiful and amazingly inexpensive materials. Our bathroom had both almost $200/sf tile along with $1.75/sf tile. It looks seamless and got me much more for my money. I’ve included the first renovation pics here and can’t find Many pics of our current house! Ugh! I recommend Mindy and hope she finds amazing clients in CO.

Mindy helped me turn my generic builder home into a beautiful, unique living space. Her extensive experience helped guide me through the overwhelming process of choosing furniture, light fixtures, carpets, wallpaper, and accent pieces. She’s very good at listening to and understanding your vision, even if you don’t know exactly how to describe it. I highly recommend her. She’s a great designer and fun to work with!

I worked with Mindy to remodel my dining room and the wet bar in my game room. She paid attention to my design style and my budget. Mindy is very detail oriented. She did her research, provided options, sketched the designs for approval, project managed the subcontractors, and stayed within budget. She is very talented and crafty. She is a fabulous seamstress so she was able to get my curtains done. She even created a mirror and customized a store bought hutch and the chandelier to fit my style.

My pricing is based on years of experience in both residential and commercial design.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a phone interview to discuss your project and potential needs. Then I schedule a free consultation where we do a complete walk through. During this walk through we determine the size and scope of the work to be completed. From this meeting, I generate a proposal based on the desired scope, budget and other considerations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Idaho. The education, experience and examination I've gone through to become a designer leads to a higher level of quality which is reflected in my pricing.
