    I had reached out to The Classic Quill to see about getting my wedding vows rewritten for my one year anniversary as a gift for my wife. I sent the initial message on Friday of this past week and heard back within an hour. I explained what I was looking for and she had it done and it’s set to be delivered this Thursday. She gave me a very fair price for the work and she was very accommodating with the things I was looking to have done. She even sent follow up messages showing me the finished project and making sure it was what I was hoping for!   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
    For pricing, I take into consideration the amount of time I will need to complete your project. Shipping costs are at the customer's expense. Envelopes: 3 line addresses, black ink $1.50 each Place Cards: .50 each Wedding/Event signage: Starting at 5$ Wedding vows/poetry: up to 50 words is 40$, up to 100 words is 70$ Discount available for multiple projects/returning customers
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
    I like to communicate either in person or with FaceTime so I can understand exactly what my client wants. Once the project details are decided, we agree upon a completion date. It's pretty painless.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
    I have been doing creative hand lettering since 1987. I took classes at a local junior college, and then got a part time position at the Art Institute of Chicago. My business really took off when I connected with a few event planners! I also did the artwork for a parish cookbook, and my lettering got lots of recognition from that publication.
