FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Whatever you do, try and go open-source (WordPress, Joomla). It's the way things are going. If you custom code your site, chances are that at some point your designer will disappear - and nobody will be able to take over. Also, remember that your website should sell for you. If you had a salesperson who sat around all day twiddling their thumbs, you'd politely request that they leave and not come back. Why should your site be different? If it doesn't make you happy - by selling your products or services - then get one that does.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Just how many diverse technologies, skills and features go into one seemingly-simple site. How many thousand times we press refresh every week.
