FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am always willing to listen to people who have circumstances that might require a lowering of my fees. I have strong beliefs that wedding costs should not be painful. I purposely set my costs at the low end of the spectrum. Working with a website like Thumbtack can be challenging as I am charged for all the folks who contact me, even if I am not hired, so making any profits can be difficult. That's why I ask folks to contact me through my website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will usually share a few of the good websites with wedding vows with my customers. I also will spend a great deal of time just asking questions and listening. I have some standard vows that are more spiritual than religious and I also have vows with no mention of God. If you want an officiant who is more of a Christian evangelical, I am probably not your best choice. I am very much a follower of Christ and a student of ACIM.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a teacher and a principal. I have learned to be relaxed and comfortable in what many might see as a stressful situation, standing in front of hundreds of people. I have now officiated over one hundred weddings.
