I LOVE my job! I have been doing this for over 15 years! My mom always yelled at me on Sunday mornings for playing in the dirt before church and getting dirty Little did she know, I would continue to do this the rest of my life! I like the fact that I can see a raw piece of land and transform it into a beautiful piece of useful land. We can take dreams and make them into reality. We can extend the inside living space of your home and take it outdoors and incorporate Beautiful Colorado in the background. Being able to have your hands involved from the dream all the way to the reality.

Working with Dail & Son Landscaping was great. They completed the job quickly. When I had questions or issues the response was fast. Everything was done neatly. I'll be hiring them again for my next project.

Description Of Work: I hired Brad Dail to do two landscaping project at my house. One was in the back yard and one was in the front yard. The project in the back yard was suppose to be completed in a couple weeks. The project took months and was never completed. Since winter was coming up we did provide a partial final payment and Brad never showed up again to complete the project. The project 90% complete and with problems still unresolved. So much for his one year warranty he has told us about and listed on his web site. The project in the front yard is paid for at 50% completion. The work was less than 25% complete and Brad has never shown up again to do the work. He does not answer the phone or call back as I have called him no less than 20 times. I email Brad a few times a week and he answers email about once every 2-3 weeks promising how he is coming out to do work. Well month after month that is he story but he has not returned to do work and now he is claiming he is going bankruptcy and that I will never get work done or see my money again. Member Comments: The best that I can say for Brad Dail is I would never do business with him again and honestly no one should. All we have are broken promises, lies, and a lot of good money paid to Brad for work never completed. I have heard stories about how his phone is broken, his email is broken, his works are busy doing Mexico stuff and can't be on the job. We have heard stories about how he can't do work this year as his guys can't get over the border due to drug problems. I know its hard to believe but feel free to email me and I will be glad to cut/paste or forward the email from Brad Dail with these stories. Again, BEWARE, this person is a dishonest scammer!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! A TOTAL SCAM! HE TOOK US FOR A REFUNDABLE $500 DEPOT. WE SPENT MONTHS TRYING TO SERVE HIM FOR A SMALL CLAIMS HEARING. HE EVEN HAS HIS PARENTS LYING FOR HIM. WE HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE GOVERNMENT AND ASKED THAT HE BE REMOVED FROM BIDDING ON ANY STATE OR FEDERAL CONTACTS. WE ARE IN CONTACT WITH COLORADO STATE BUSINESS OFFICE TO REPORT HIS COLLECTION OF FUNDS. I'M SURE HE HAS NOT CLAIMED IT FOR TAXES BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVE HIM UNDER HIS OLD COMPANY 'HIGH COUNTRY TREES.' THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ALSO COULD NOT FIND HIM AND NOW HAS 6 REGIESTERED COMPLAINTS. NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always LOVED playing in the dirt. We are a family owned and operated company and I like the fact that my kids can come to work with me when they need/want or that I can have flexibility in my schedule to accommodate theirs. I found early on that anyone can lay grass spread rocks I always looked at the challenging jobs and got excited. I like the ones that others dont know what to do with! This makes it more challenging and therefore you have to think more. I just have always been hands on and truly enjoy the service industry from this to Fire Fighting to Police work
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that the Lnadscaper listens to your ideas. Its very iportant to make sure that you get what YOU want and not what they want you to have, This should be a lifetime master piece, not just another job! Make sure that Landscaper understands the project, some are harder than others and its important that they don't "bite" off more than they can chew. In the end attention to detail is VERY key in a master piece, assure that they follow through all the way to the end AND that it is within the scope of work! Sometimes the cheapest estimate is the MOST expensive in the end, cause the details were missed and change orders have to happen to get the perfect final result!
