FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My honorarium is usually $295 plus $75 for travel. A modest $95 non refundable deposit holds your day in my calendar. The remainder can be paid $100 3 months from your date and the final $100 + $75 for travel, 30 days from your date. Those payments become non refundable on their due date.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The journey begins by sharing your hopes and dreams for your marriage celebration. Your hopes and dreams are what is most important to me. Your complimentary consultation begins with a video conference meeting using either Zoom or FaceTime. This leverages our time and gives us the opportunity to meet one another and for you to share your plans and script ideas. That becomes our collaborative starting point. We begin where you are. Just starting the planing, wonderful. Have it all planned out, perfect. Where you are is, where you are. A small deposit holds your day in my calendar. Monthly check in occurs each month on your date until we are 30 days out. Weekly check in occurs when we are less than 30 days out. I believe in more communication instead of less. After all, this is YOUR celebration. I'm there for you. Each consultation ends with personalized follow up and includes your wedding ceremony draft along with other resources that may be helpful in your planning.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have advanced degrees in theology, education and counseling. Add to that, I've been officiating weddings for over 40 years with locations from large and small churches, corn fields, barns, large equipment shops, Country Clubs, beaches, meadows and mountains. Counseling is available and as I share with my couples, counseling saves at least 5 years of figuring things out.
