Best attorney I've ever worked with. Extremely knowledgeable and goes the extra mile. He helped us with a patent dispute. Couldn't believe the amount of time and effort he put into helping us. It's clear he has a passion for what he does.

Excellent service during a very hard time in my life. My Family needed an attorney in an emergency situation and thankfully I had Mr. Corporon to help with our court case. Whether it was Mr. Corporon or one of the staff members, someone would call me even on the weekends to make sure I was doing okay. There was always someone available to answer my questions or even just to talk to me for a few minutes which I appreciated since I am such a worrier. The only thing I can think to improve my experience is I wish it was cheaper to have an attorney, but every attorney costs a bit, and you get what you pay for, and although I hope I will never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will be calling The Law Offices of Randy Corporon.

As a renter without any working communication services (TV, Internet, phone) I needed advice regarding a situation involving my landlord and HOA. He provided several phone conversations worth of advice and reviewed my lease for free. He went above and beyond what most attorneys would and for that I am forever grateful. When I'm ready to by a home I know who I'm calling. Please don't look anywhere else, call him!

Ryan Peterson was an amazing human being. He treated me like a human being, first off, which other lawyers (even some on this website) did not do. Although he was not able to handle my case due to mistakes I made in my past, he was able to provide me with enough guidance and information to help better and further my situation. He was kind, knowledgeable, and willing to listen and consider any possible aspect. The most outstanding part when dealing with Ryan was the fact that he actually understood what I was trying to accomplish and what I was trying to say. Most lawyers that I called that claimed they dealt with student loans as part of their portfolio, in truth, did not. Ryan, however, was willing to try my case with private student loans. Again, I declined hiring him because of mistakes I made in the past that would have made the case too risky, but once I had come to that conclusion, he offered me a plethora of options to pursue regarding my situation. Ryan Peterson is well worth your time and effort to consider if you require the services of a lawyer.

I worked with Charlene first on my divorce then on trying to get my ex-husband to pay for what he owes me. Charlene is professional and sympathetic. She understands what I went through. As a female, I prefer female attorneys. Going through divorce and after-divorce, I experience many stages of emotions. Charlene has always been there for me. I trust her completely. She is straightforward in letting me know what to expect. I would definitely recommend her to anybody looking for a family attorney. If I have any legal matter in the future, I will surely seek Charlene again.

I hired curt after my second DUI. He took the time during our initial call/meeting to go over all his professional recommendations to lessen the possible outcomes prior to going to court. Curt was very knowledgeable not only about the DUI laws, but also represented me during the DMV requested hearing with the arresting officer and grilled him over the whole arresting incident. Curt is very prompt to answer calls/texts/emails and always has the answer or professional recommendation regarding anything that came up during my case. Curt was always present in court and always had my best interest as a client in mind. After 4 court hearings and MULTIPLE conversations with the DA, Curt got my 2nd DUI DISMISSED!!! I was very proactive in regards to taking classes, which helped him gain leverage in this case. I would not be in the same situation, DISMISSED 2nd DUI, If I was not represented by CURT ALFREY. Any other lawyer would have quit and got my jail time or house arrest at best. Curt is the ONLY reason I am free of my second DUI. Curt only charges a flat fee regardless if you go to trial or agree on a bargain prior to trial, and it's not very much for what you get out of him! Plus he saved me tens of thousands in the long run. HIRE CURT ALFREY AS YOUR ATTORNEY, IT WILL BE WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU SPEND!!! BEST ATTORNEY IN COLORADO!

I was having difficulties locating someone to do my taxes since it was a unique and slightly more complicated situation. Alex was able to complete my tax return in a timely and affordable manner, taught me a bit about taxes and some terms to enhance my understanding, and find ways to maximize my return amount. He also was quick to return emails and phone calls and kept me updated on the status of the return regularly.

I got my first DUI last year in October, and immediately started looking for an affordable attorney that would best fit my needs. After searching and searching, I came across J and went to meet with him immediately. I've had terrible experiences with lawyers in the past, so skepticism was the dominant factor in my demeanor. However, J had no problem answering whatever I could think to ask, and have me a sense of comfort and security right away. After hiring him and having my case settled, the first thing I'll say is I do not regret it one bit. J took great care of me from beginning to end, and my case was settled in a manner far better than I could have expected! thanks for everything J, you're easily the #1 choice.

My Custody case has been ongoing for the past 6 years. I had two attorneys before Ronnie, both leaving the case. Ronnie picked up my case during the most tumultuous time. He has proved to be my best Lawyer yet! From the time he stepped in I felt like he new the case and what has been going on. Since he's been my attorney we've had to go to court twice and my circumstances have improved more this past year than in all the previous. Ronnie is very knowledgeable of Colorado Law and puts you at ease immediately. Ronnie is very compassionate and caring and has the best interest of me and my child. Sadie

The job consisted of seeking 45k in back pay accumulated over 17 years. Mark moved on it and in 3 months he put enough pressure on the absent parent and I was offered a settlement of which I would have never seen had I not hired such a great attorney. I recommend his ability and his expertise. The best experience with and attorney to collect ever.

Out of all the Attorney's that contacted me, and I have spoke with, Mr Waters, from the first time he contacted me, and though out the time since I have retained him has proven himself to be an Attorney of not only integrity, professional, knowledgeable qualities, but one who genuinely cares about his clients. From day one, I have been able to keep in contact with Mr Waters, and he continues to go above and beyond the call of duty. He reminds me of the television Attorney 'Perry Mason' by how professional he is and inclined he is to be helpful not only in the professional side, but also in the mental side, reassuring all persons that my legal situation presents. I take reviews very seriously, and I write reviews as well because I realize the importance of them, and if you are looking for an Attorney, that will not leave you in the dark, and make you confident in all aspects of your legal situation, Attorney Waters is that rare person for the job, and clearly became an Attorney to help people first and foremost, and this is why he has not only my vote of confidence, but that of everyone in my family that he has effected.

I write this review on behalf of Attorney Mark E. Kraynak. Mark and I initially became acquainted when he patronized the bar/restaurant where I work as a bartender. We quickly became friends. Shortly thereafter, I got involved in a dicey legal situation the details of which shall remain confidential. In conjunction with another person involved, we consulted with Mark several times as the legal matter unfolded. Ultimately, our objective was achieved in the best possible way. I found Mark’s legal advise and counseling throughout the ordeal to be very helpful and indeed invaluable. On a scale of 1-5 stars I give Mark E. Kraynak 6

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What kind of lawyer does wills?

No one likes talking about death, but it’s better than leaving your children or siblings to sort out your estate. A clearly planned will can make the time of mourning easier for everyone. An estate attorney will develop a legal will, create trusts on your behalf, and ensure the proper execution of your estate after you pass away.

Family attorneys and estate attorneys, also called probate and wills attorneys, can each prepare wills. The type of lawyer best suited to prepare your will depends on your situation. Most family attorneys provide services to prepare basic wills, including bequeathing property and personal items to family or naming a guardian for minor children. However, estate attorneys specialize in preparing wills in more complex situations. Consider hiring an estate attorney if you:

  • Have a large number of assets, especially those subject to estate taxes
  • Want to create a trust, such as allowing a spouse to live in your home until he or she dies and then leaving it to your children, or set up long-term care for a beneficiary
  • Have an ownership stake in a business
  • Expect someone to contest your will
  • Want to disinherit your spouse
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
