Marylyn and her team did a phenomenal job catering our wedding. We were able to customize our menu to accommodate various dietary restrictions, and the food was delicious and plentiful. During the wedding, Marylyn’s team essentially served as both caterers and event coordinators; they quickly reorganized the reception hall when rain forced us to move our ceremony indoors, worked with the other vendors to keep on schedule, and cleaned up afterward. Her bartenders made delicious (and strong) drinks. Marylyn and her team went above and beyond to execute our perfect wedding, and I am so grateful we chose Juste Hors D’oeuvres!

Marylyn and her Staff are the most professional, versatile, talented event planning team we have experienced. "We reached out to Marylyn for our sons graduation party which was a unique event. With the myriad of option on the internet its hard to decipher the truly best caterers from the just average but after just one phone call we knew we had a professional reliable person in Marylyn. For us the party was an “in between”, not quite a wedding so it needed to be more intimate, personalized touch but we still needed all the services of an event planner from parking to bar tending to setup and breakdown in addition to great food. Well Marylyn and her staff did not disappoint. The one thing we appreciated the most was the versatility of the menu. We were very impressed with the choice such as the _________ and _________ which were big hits. The second most notable aspect was the professionalism and courteous nature of the entire staff. This was a large family event and it was important to us that everyone felt comfortable around her team. They fit right in, were extremely friendly, personable and down to earth while maintaining focus on their respective jobs bar tending, parking cars or cooking. Marylyn at Juste Hors D'Oeurves was an incredible help in planning our wedding. They are more than just a caterer - they are truly a partner in planning your wedding! Marylyn went above and beyond to help us in a unique venue situation with a first-time venue - she spent a lot of time with us and with the venue coordinating all of the details. She was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the process. She created a menu that was perfect for us (I am gluten free, so she found ways to incorporate that for me!) I also really appreciated that Marylyn was conscious of our budget - she was great at recommending ways to save, while also calling out things we would definitely need given our venue. I would highly recommend Marylyn!! She is the best.

Marylyn and her team provided a superb experience. Marylyn gave us a tremendous amount of help, advice, and experience as well as coordination with the rental vendor which frankly would have been impossible for us. It was clear within minutes of meeting her that she knew how to plan and execute on a wedding. Day of, the staff arrived and were friendly, responsive, and kind. Every dish prepared for our wedding was outstanding in quality. All the food was ready on time as well, and we were free to have fun. I couldn't recommend this company enough!

Everything about our experience with Juste Hors D’Oeuvres was amazing. Let me tell you, they are so much more than just hors d’oeuvres! We had an extremely personalized experience for our wedding, down to a menu that was built from scratch to fit our budget’s needs and express who we are as a couple, to an individualized tasting with Marilyn that left us so excited for the final meal, to the day of, where Marylyn and her team were so on top of everything, and our guests wouldn’t stop raving about the food! We had a brunch style wedding, so when people are raving about smoked salmon and brioche french toast, I can’t imagine how divine a a full sit down dinner would taste! I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of our day, and I highly recommend Juste Hors D’Oeuvres for any event.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing should be customized to the clients' budget parameters. We are not an "off-the-shelf" catering company with prices for set packages. We feel that there are too many hidden costs in packages. Every proposal we make is broken down into the main components. This gives clients the ability to make financial decisions from a place of knowledge. Menus are developed in consultation with our clients. When we understand their wants and needs, we are empowered to work diligently to create a perfect and affordable event!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Personalized consultation is the key to a perfect event. By chatting with my prospects and asking some key questions, together we are able to hone in on the perfect mix of wants and needs and develop the right budget parameters. As catering pros, there are times we suggest options to our clients that they would not have thought of themselves often resulting in the saving of time and money! While we all love social media and e-mail, neither are the right way to plan a perfect event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Chefs, Bartenders and other Staff are highly experienced. I spent many years as a teacher then a VP in a Fortune 500 company. It is the combination of exemplary cooking and planning coupled with savvy business prowess that built this business into a thriving success. We are the pros ready to assist you at every turn!!!
