PLEASE reach out to The Balanced K-9 with your dog training needs. You will not be disappointed! I really did not think I could ever feel fully comfortable leaving my dog with anyone at all, but Luciana and Chuck are so knowledgable, personable, and professional that I left their home with absolute no worries about my Luna (7 and a half month old GSD). Luna came home being able to walk in an amazing heel with both my boyfriend and I, she was able to hold a down stay in a pet store, and she is overall calmer. I am extremely optimistic about Luna’s future thanks to The Balanced K9! They gave us the information and tools necessary to ensure Luna’s success.

Luiciana and Chuck are wonderful trainers as well as people. My dog, Milo (German Shepard husky mix), stayed with them for 4 weeks and came back to us a brand new dog. Before The Balanced K-9, we could not walk him without him pulling the leash, barking, and attempting to lunge at people. He would also bark uncontrollably at any noise he heard either outside or inside the house. Now we can walk him outside and bring him to dog friendly stores and we couldn’t be more happy about it. Instead of having him cooped up in the house all day afraid he might harm someone. When we arrived to pick him up I wanted to go over what he’s learned perfectly to continue his training when he gets home and Luciana and Chuck were more than happy to take their time to teach us and answer any questions we had, I mean REALLY take their time. They were so welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. I most certainly recommended them if you are thinking about training your dog. I was so skeptical of leaving my dog to strangers because I had such a soft spot for him, but they were very trustable and I could tell they really care for each dog they train. They even brought my dog to the vet immediately when they found something alarming on his body (which is now healed thanks to their good eyes.) we are still continuing his training everyday and he is getting even better with us as handlers, he just has one problem we have to fix and have reached out to them via email once more for advice. Other than that, I give this place a 5 star rating!!!

The Balanced K-9, LLC's reply
Amber, Thank you for your very kind and thorough feedback. Milo's long-term success is guaranteed because you and your family took the time to understand how to help Milo be the best dog possible. The effort you are putting into maintaining his training is what really makes the difference long term. Thank you for entrusting your wonderful dog to us and we hope you will keep us updated on his progress. Warmest Regards Chuck and Luciana

We stopped by to see our Shihitzu, 2 weeks into her 3 week training. She was amazing. She was like our cuddly dog from before but with structure. Luciana and Chuck are caring, loving, knowledgeable trainers. Balanced K9 is highly recommended by myself, my wife and my lil Oreo. It would be a shame not to consider them forward your dog's training in the future. Thank you so much Balanced K9 for all your incredible help.

We haven't set a date to have our out-of-control rescue pup trained yet since my husband is about to have an unexpected surgery, but we ARE going to use The Balanced K-9 who were extremely cooperative and very pleasant in our email interactions. In fact I was seeking them out online after finding them earlier in time...had only inadvertently clicked on your link and had not intended to use thumbtack at all. When I notified the other trainer that I had someone who was my first choice and would prefer to wait to talk to them (after explaining my situation), they first made Luka sound as though our issues with him were extremely unusual (???) and then sent back only a clipped response, wishing me luck. Balanced K-9 were my 1st choice all along since I'd watched many videos of their methods and connections with dogs.

Our dog Kobe was reactivate since he was puppy. As he grew it became more of an issue, where we would have to put him away if guest were around. He would jump on people, nip at a couple of strangers. He would get out of control when seeing another dog. We worked years with Kobe’s behavior. My husband would walk him very early at 5am and much later at night to avoid people and dogs. Which was very difficult in New York City. It was very difficult to not be able to travel anywhere as a family because who could stay with him!? Both our quality of life and his was being adversely impacted. He didn’t deserved to be constantly isolated and not interacting with anyone new. We didn’t know what to do until we found The Balanced K-9. We got in contact with Luciana who came to see Kobe in action. She went over why she thought he was behaving the way he was and what they would be working on while he was away. Luciana was so dedicated to deliver Kobe back to us as a balanced dog. We knew Kobe would be a challenge. Kobe spent 5 weeks with Luciana, in this time we got several updates on Kobe’s training. When the day arrived that we got to see our Kobe. His behavior made much improvement. To even think that Kobe did good with her and many other people was astounding to us. He was much less reactive to dogs to now being not reactive to them at all. To us having him walking around while guest are in the house. Now everyone can know how sweet our boy is. We trust the balanced K-9 so much that Kobe went for boarding while we went on vacation. Thank you The balanced K-9!
