Thomas and Ann provided a wonderful array of food. The menu was varied and included something for everyone's palate. Thomas and Ann provided their catering for both the Bridal Shower and Wedding Day. I can't say enough about the hospitality. They were awesome and were so helpful in both days. You just couldn't help but consider them a part of the celebrations. I would recommend Thomas for any occasion. He works with you from beginning to end. His hospitality, suggestions and simple words of assurance made us feel at ease enough so we didn't have to worry about the little things. Thank you Thomas and Ann for all you have done for us!

Hudson Valley Ceremonies and Jeanne Stark were hired for two of my bridesmaids weddings, so when it came time for my own wedding, it was a no brainer. For our wedding Jeanne was responsible for recommending many of our final vendors, the printing and mailing of our invites and place cards, flower preparation and arrangement and lastly, day of coordination. We met with Jeanne three times before the wedding. First, to talk business and secure her for our date. Second, to pick out invites, which we did through her Carlson Craft partnership. And third to review the venue and talk flower arrangements. We were also constantly in touch via email as Jeanne was a terrific source of information and vendor recommendations. She unfortunately couldnt make our rehearsal, but the day of she was there bright and early to set up flowers, place cards, programs, etc. and assist the on-site staff with vendors and other day of coordination responsibilities. In the end my husband and I were very happy with our decision to hire Hudson Valley Ceremonies. They are incredibly affordable and will save you lots of additional costs along the way if you make full use of their services. Jeanne is also an incredibly calming presence on the day of. They have our stamp of approval!

Terry reached out to me as I was on the look-out for a wedding decorator. She took the time to listen to my vision/needs, then added some of her own suggestions (after checking in with me) and delivered a beautiful mandap along with some matching aisle decor for my Indian wedding! She offered to even do a trial set up at the venue and coordinated everything with the venue herself, which made it easier for me. Even when we had a slight miscommunication, she was so graceful about it and we were able to get back on the same page very quickly! She is hard working, easy to work with and I would definitely recommend her to future brides! Thanks Terry :)

I hired them to do our wedding flowers and it was well worth it. I didn't know at first how much money flowers really cost. Tamie sat down with us and guided us about the different blooms and their seasons. Not only did we save money, we got exactly what we needed. Their work is fabulous.

I heard of Chef Holiday through a local radio station. They were promoting his company and the idea of having a chef come to my home to make a meal sounded amazing so i immediately set a date. This was to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and the service/food that he gave us was so much better than any restaurant! Normally, it is a waiters job to get you in and out of the door in a very short period of time. I thoroughly enjoy dinners where i can sit back, relax, sip, and eat course by course. I consulted w/ chef via phone a couple of times prior to our dinner date and told him what we like and do not like and I basically gave him freedom to make whatever he wanted. I am glad that i did this because i may have ended up picking the same foods that every restaurant serves. It was nice to put complete trust into his choices! Normally, it is a waiters job to get you in and out of the door in a very short period of time. I thoroughly enjoy dinners where i can sit back, relax, sip, and eat course by course. Everything that chef made us was great! For starters he made us a cocktail similar to a mojito minus that overly sweet taste. It had a spanish twist to it and I want the recipe! For the first course we had a chilled berry soup w/ a rum whipped cream and a flat bread w/ greens, prosciutto, cheese and an apricot jam- all very tasty! Next we had a salad followed by a pasta w/ apples served in a carved out butternut squash bowl! This was great and what a wonderful presentation. For the main course he brought out a plate w/ parma polenta, italian sausage and roasted grapes with a delicious sauce. This was phenomenal! I only wish my stomach was larger so I could have eaten it all. For dessert, we had little German pancakes I believe they were called, with a roasted apple/caramel sauce. The flavors were fresh and amazing. Dessert was accompanied by a hot drink- i forget what was in it but i do know there was gin and strawberries and it was very tasty and nice to have since it was getting cold outside. I will in the future have Chef Holiday over to do a wine or martini and food night! I was wowed and would like to see what else he has up his sleeve. Thanks for making this such a great experience for us!
Roger was excellent. Our reception looked phenomenal. Roger was easy to work with, always honoring our wishes and making great suggestions. He also made a point of asking about how we were doing and how the rest of the planning was going and he shared his wealth of experience with us in areas outside of decorating. Without him, our wedding wouldn't have been half as good as it was.
I got engaged on May 2, 2012. From that day on, my mind, body and soul was in wedding planning mode. The first couple of months of wedding planning werent too bad because there really wasnt much that my fiancé and I felt like we needed to do besides selecting a date and finding a venue. Boy were we wrong. I mean, neither of us had planned a wedding before so we had no idea what was in store. It was when I stared to get mini migraines and panic attacks when thinking about vendors, décor, transportation, themes, food selection, guest list management, etc., that I knew that we needed help. My searches for wedding planners lead me to the Knot, WeddingWire and Craigslist. On September 25, 2012, I came across an ad on craigslist for Events by Jackie M. Even though I have always been skeptical of any craigslist ad, something told me to contact Jackie M. This was one of the best decisions of my life. From our first meeting with Jackie M, to our last meeting prior to my wedding day, Jackie was prepared, knowledgeable about her craft, open to hearing any and all ideas, forthcoming with her own ideas, but not too pushy or forceful about it, always smiling from ear to ear, super responsive with emails, texts, calls, aware of budgets and able to find affordable alternatives to capture her clients vision, organized beyond belief with notes and reminders of each meeting she has with her clients, able to attend as many vendor meetings as her clients would like her to. I could go on and on and on about how essential Jackie M was in making my wedding day and planning process up to that day stress free and everything I could ever dream it to be. My fiancé, Vlad, was very skeptical about getting a planner. He swore we didnt need one and that we could do it all on our own. I was shocked to see how quickly after our first meeting with Jackie his tune changed. Even though she didnt know it, she was able to convince him just by her attitude and honesty. Additionally, our wedding venue also offered a wedding coordinator. Jackie did not view this coordinator as competition, but rather made sure to work hand in hand with her to ensure that the venue stayed informed of all my many details and expectations. Jackies ability to work well with all my vendors was very impressive and also put my fiancé and I at ease. Never did we have to step in to any uncomfortable matters because Jackie already had it covered. On the day of the wedding, September 28, 2013, Jackie was outstanding. We had a total of 262 guests. Jackie was professional, but very personable to all of our guests. I had many family members tell me after the wedding how helpful Jackie was in helping them find their seats or keeping the guests informed about what was going on. Jackie also created our ceremony programs which were beautifully made and also decorated our ceremony pergola. So beautiful! She also put together our reception centerpieces as well as other décor surprises that she included for us. We loved them all! I highly recommend (and have already) Jackie M to anyone in need of a phenomenal wedding planner who is easy to get along with, open minded, readily available even though she has clients and weddings booked almost every weekend. She is also very affordable and willing to work with all wedding budgets. Events by Jackie M. is a wedding planning experience you cant afford to miss!
I have used Diva Duo Event Planning for a few events (birthdays, baptism and communion) and they have exceeded my expectations time after time. Their attention to detail and creativity is very impressive. The last event I had was my daughter's first communion and they assisted with the setup, decorations and cleaning up so that I was able to enjoy myself and interact with my company. I gave them the colors I wanted to use and they took care of the rest. The decorations and dessert bar were a hit. I can not say enough good things about Diva Duo Event Planning. They are very professional, organized, creative and fun to work with. I have even used Christina's makeup services for a couple of weddings that I came out in and received many compliments. I would definitely recommend their services and I will personally be using them in the future.
When Toni asked to give her a reference, didnt even let her finish her sentence of course I would. Wow why isn't this woman in NYC. I was in a little town in Connecticut doing a party and ran out of supplies someone locally told me about Toni. At first i thought what could this woman offer, so I called her to help and Omg this woman made me look like mincemeat and I'm a old pro. She made the most amazing tasting food and yes I am stealing some of her recipes I can't steel all because she wouldn't share them. What an incredible person to work with. So creative with flowers and spirits.
Debra White was a breath of fresh air while planning my wedding. many of the other planners I had talked to on here made me feel like they just wanted money. Debra made me feel like literally coming up for air in this whirlwind of trying to figure things out. She was very personable and with every message I felt more at ease and smiled with them because she is incredibly nice. she has a very good price and it is no competition as to who will be helping me with planning once I get the go ahead from my fiancé.
