It is important to be able to work with your designer face-to-face. Local designers can stop in and talk and better understand your business and present your "window to the world" through your website in a manner that suits them best. Using online companies and "build your own" websites can get the job done but there are many other aspects to search engine optimization that go along with building a great website. Be sure you spend your money wisely or else it will cost you more in design and potential lost sales later on.
