Introduction: Sessions are a full hour and include feedback, printed materials, questionnaires, discussion, constructive tools, and a copy of my book, "It's Not Personal! A Guide to Anger Management". I am a reality-based therapist with a home office in Fairfield, CT and since 1979, have successfully helped hundreds of clients with a variety of issues. Reality-based therapy is very different from any other approach and it works better and faster. It involves solution-focused sessions with a focus on replacing misconceptions and false assumptions with ideas that match reality. My counseling is for couples and individuals with anger, anxiety, communication, trust, intimacy, depression, or self-esteem issues. I teach you, no matter what your issues, to get rid of self-destructive or unrealistic thinking and behavior. The result is that in even a few sessions, you can improve your lifestyle, have better relationships with good communication and less anger, feel better about yourself, and be happier. I live what I teach. This includes being organized, assertive, calm, objective, upbeat, free of compulsions, and accepting of what life presents. I also provide solutions if you want to go beyond dieting and make changes to your eating for better health and permanent weight loss. The sessions focus on the underlying misconceptions and lack of interest in good nutrition and health that have led to your poor eating habits. You learn to make health a priority, to replace immediate gratification and unconscious eating with healthy choices and attention to hunger signals. You end emotional eating and learn to deal with stress in better ways. You eat better, lose weight, and feel great. I know a lot about nutrition, and I am the author of two books on emotional eating. I practice and live everything I teach. I eat only healthy foods at scheduled meatimels, I exercise regularly, and so I am full of energy, healthy, and slim. Because there is no insurance coverage, my fee is much lower than my experience warrants. Pay for one session and see if you find it beneficial. I believe you will.
