Introduction: Hello , I have been playing and teaching guitar for over 35 years. My approached is based on your interests and skill level. I teach by showing fundamental theory and techniques that will get you playing the guitar in the fastest way possible. I give lessons at the the Music Place studio in Groton located next to Groton Guitars on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I have a few openings available. The fee is $120 tuition per month for 30 minute sessions. For one hour lessons the tuition is $200 a month. For beginners, 30 minutes lessons are usually quite enough to get started on. Please contact me for more information. I would like to help on your musical journey with the guitar.

I’ve been a guitar student of Pierre Fortin going on two years. I knew immediately that Pierre was going to be a very good fit for me. He has a wonderful teaching method and vast knowledge. I’ve become so confident with him that any time I find myself struggling with something, all I need to do is give him a short explanation and in seconds he understands and explains how to correct it. It’s amazing to me that he is able help me so expeditiously. He is a very patient instructor. And not only is he a great guitar instructor, he really has become a good friend. I would highly recommend Pierre whether your simply looking to improve your playing skills or just starting to play the guitar. I feel quite fortunate that I found Pierre for my guitar instructor. You’ll find it quite evident when he tells you, “I love what I do.” And he really does.

Pierre is very patient and works to ensure you have a good understanding of the basics and proper technique. He is flexible in rescheduling lessons due to vacations or other events. I have been a student of Pierre's for about 7 years and look forward to each lesson and learning something new. I highly recommend Pierre as a guitar teacher.
