Kellrann took on a job which 3 other masons refused to do because of the difficult work, the confined space, and the issue of matching what was previously there. They never complained, completed the job on time and the job came out beautiful. I would recommend Kelly to anyone needing masonry services and would give him 6 stars if I could. Thanks for the great job. John

Kelly rebuilt a set of steps, refaced our basement masonery, and designed and built drains for the front of our home, which has no gutters. He was clear about our options and offered advice only when asked. He reused materials from our old steps which saved us money and retained a sense of design integrity. He was reliable, friendly, and a delight to work with. He went beyond the usual work parameters by making sure that all the elements of the steps, entrance patio, and pebbled drains next to the house worked together. The result was a unique and beautiful front entryway. We actually use our front door now!

Kelly did a great job replacing some cracked bluestones in my walkway and repairing loose bluestone on my steps. It wasn't a big job, but he was very professional. He came when he said he would and communicated if there were any problems. He answered all of my questions and provided good advice. He didn't try to make the job bigger than it was by telling me I had "other problems." He was very friendly and easy to work with.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing masonry work is not cut and dry ( no pun intended ). Almost every job is different from the next. Different materials, different brands of materials, different prices of materials. Also there's a significant difference between new construction and restoration work. With new work you start from scratch. .restoration involves a lot more preparation and care which equals more money for labor costs.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think if a provider quotes a job and communicates with a potential client, the client should let them know if they are interested or not...even if it's a short and sweet response.
