Introduction: Corey is a certified music educator working in a Hartford area middle school, and received music and education degrees from the University of Connecticut and Hartt School of Music. During his time as a student, he performed up and down the eastern seaboard and in London, Manchester (UK) and Amsterdam. Corey also was a finalist in the North American Saxophone Alliance Saxophone Quartet Competition, and in the Paranov Concerto Competition as a soloist. He currently maintains a teaching studio in Northern Connecticut and performs throughout the state.
Corey specializes in teaching Saxophone to school aged children, and setting them up for success outside of the private lesson. He believes strongly in setting a strong foundation for his students and music literacy so that they can perform as independent musicians.
I love to share my passion for music, particularly saxophone, with students, and to help them realize their fullest potential as musicians.

Corey has been my son's sax teacher for almost 3 yrs now. He is very detailed oriented , patient and works thoroughly with his students in bringing their skills. With Corey's mentorship my son has made first chair position at the wind ensembles and regionals. He is amazing at what he does and it's definitely worth every investment monetarily and time. Thanks Corey for ur continued support.

I appreciate Corey teaching me things I'd never learn in school band. He makes it interesting by playing along with me and encouraging me to learn things I wouldn't otherwise play.

We can't say enough fabulous things about Corey!
He's been our son's Alto Sax teacher for the past two years. Corey is patient and his love of teaching shines through in every lesson. He's punctual and a wonderful communicator. He has inspired our son to be a serious musician and for that we will be forever grateful! :)

After changing my major in college from music to English, I decided over 30 years later to go back to what I enjoyed more. I was studying alto sax. in college but now have a soprano to resume lessons with. Corey has been a great teacher for me. He is bringing me up to speed with changes in teaching styles and problem solving. He is a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and skilled saxophonist and teacher. Because of his awareness of available opportunities in our area to hear professional musicians, I have been able to plug back into the music circles. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Corey is knowledgeable, fun, and patient. He is flexible and willing to work with you for the best experience. When my child had difficulty with a band assignment, Corey changed his plans to assist him and make him comfortable with his upcoming performance. An excellent teacher who truly loves his instrument and teaching others about it.
