Introduction: My name is Ana Ruiz. I am the owner and principal photographer. I entered the realm of digital photography back in 1996. After a long run as an amateur, I decided to turn my love affair with photography into a career. I love what I do and I am so blessed. I reside in New Fairfield, CT with my husband and our three children. My family and surroundings continually inspire my photography. Ana was the photographer for my son's graduation. She was very careful to ask what I wanted from the session and was able to strategically identify how much time was needed and the best way to organize in preparation. She took posed pictures before the graduation and then "candids" at the dinner. Her photos were enjoyed by my family near and far. They all think she did a fantastic job "catching" everyone's personality. The quality of her photos are great - one friend said her pictures of my family looked like an advertisement for the next family tv drama. I contracted Ana just a few days before the graduation (very last minute) but I still felt I received a high quality of service. My only suggestion would be if I had considered pointing out what photos I would have liked to be included at the dinner(for example, I forgot to say "the cake"). Also, I would have like the option to have a "thumb drive" for my pics, rather than the CD (even if that resulted in a surcharge) Check out her facebook pictures! They are great. Overall, a wonderful experience! I will use Ana again for my special occasions and I have already recommended her to others.

My husband and I felt so good going with this photographer once meeting her. Her pictures looked beautiful and she was very familiar with our venue. Although the photos from our wedding were beautiful and communication leading up to the wedding was good it all went downhill after the wedding. Part of our contract was to get all the photos on a thumb drive and there were missing photos we had to ask for on two different occasions. Part of our package was receiving an album designed by the photographer. The end product we were not happy with due to a layout of single pics of our wedding party and three people were totally missing and the last page having the only picture of me (the bride) which was the only picture out of them all we did not like (again the pictures were beautiful that was the only one that we didn't like). Over the past four months since our wedding we have gone weeks at a time without receiving a response, and there were questions we needed answered. Our wedding was in July and most of August it was back and forth communication days apart as we knew she was working on picture edits and other weddings. In September, I went from September 2nd to September 24th until I got a response, and only because I reached out to her again. Asked her another questions about missing pictures on our thumb drive to which there was no response via text and had to call her and leave a message saying we needed to talk, to which we finally did on October 11th. my husband met with her on October 19th to pick up the album for the first time and receive the missing pictures, which the album we received two weeks after she was supposed to ship it out. We had to return the album back to the photographer to get fixed, change the photo of me and add missing wedding party single pictures. After receiving it a second time on December 2nd we are still missing one person from our wedding party on the page that we had initially asked to be fixed and it was missed in the 2nd edit. We are at a loss for how long this has all taken since our wedding (over 4 months ago). The lack of communication and attention to detail is not what we expected. We felt like the album was rushed to be made, both the first and second time and we were not happy with either album produced. Cannot believe the hassle we have received since after the wedding. We've received numerous excuses and apologies saying people make mistakes, to which we understand, but when it's the same mistakes and lack of communication it becomes aggravating. We ultimately decided to completely return the album and we are working on creating our own. We asked for a refund for the album which was a $300 total and received $125 back, due to labor costs of $175.

Wow, Ana was great! She really flowed with the wedding. Didn't make anyone feel selfconsious about getting their photo taken. She was there but kind of in the background, running around, capturing everything. I have seen a couple of the photos she posted on Facebook and they are fantastic! Thanks, Ana!!!!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I have worked with families, children, teens and couples. The bulk of my work is primarliy Engagements and Weddings. Some might think it's difficult niche to be in, but I truely love being a part of it all, from beginning to the time the Bride and Groom says goodnight. Love days are awesome!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Book early! This will guarantee your date and time! But most importantly, make sure you hit it off with your photographer!
