I'm sure Zev has worked with many business people over the years and I'm certain his impact on each of them is different. For anyone that owns a business, and may be considering Zev, I ask that you PLEASE READ MY REVIEW IN FULL….or at least until my review says to stop!
Zev's has only been working with me and my business for 4 months. It has been trans formative. It has been emotional. And it has been EXTREMELY productive…on both a personal and business levels.
Leading up to working with Zev I didn't know him at all. No personal connection, no referrals, nothing. In fact I wasn't even looking for the type of business support that he is now providing me. Incredibly, what he's giving is exactly what I needed.
You may ask yourself "what does that mean?". I think that question would be reasonable to ask. So here's the story…..
I posted an Ad for "Marketing and Branding" person …to help me rebrand and re-position my business within my industry. I had a couple of attempts on this project prior and I didn't feel ALL IN on the direction I was going (failed attempts? No…just setbacks). I knew I needed someone with broader and deeper skills then my previous vendors whom each had specific independent areas of expertise (communications, creative, etc.).
What I didn't realize is that, in many ways, I was putting several carts before the horse (so to speak). My perspective, understanding, and vision were underdeveloped. I was trying to "create" a message based on perceived value and assumption instead of who I am and why my business exists. The issue I realize now was a non-starter in my, also underdeveloped, goal to grow.
What I ended up with, in Zev, was a business coach that saw, seemingly obvious, areas of improvement that I was blind to or that I had given up on trying to improve. If your reaction to this statement is along the lines of "this guy isn't a smart business man…." then no need to continue reading; you either need to spend a few more years growing (until growth eventually stops or become really "hard"), don't have a "real" business yet, or are in denial (and need to hit a wall before figuring it out). For the rest of you…continue on.
Recognizing those business areas that needed improvement, when Zev first walked in, was probably easy for him. Convincing me to improve them was probably easy as well (although perhaps not with every business owner). But where Zev's real value has come in is helping me, and my staff, change the way we think and approach this business and our clients. We are now approaching the business with a general goal of continuous improvement and agreement that nothing will stop in that goal. In my business, which is service based, I've come to realize that delivering on our promises isn't why our client use us; rather it's why they consider us as an option. Earning and keeping their business results from working to get better each day, upping our game, and making our clients jobs easier (these aren't just words…we have actually action processes that are doing this). This process of improving isn't something we are doing…it's something we will live and will be a never ending work in progress. It's also what keeps us relevant and in demand among client for whom we compete.
I also want to add that Zev is not the typical coach. It's not just HW assignments and holding you accountable. He literally does work; crafts emails, writes correspondences, runs staff meetings, and beyond. He owns responsibilities and takes ownership of areas needing improvement where he knows what and how profound the resulting positive impact will be. In four months he has injected and helped my business in Operations, Communications, Business Development, Human Resources, and personal growth initiatives for my key team members (believe it or not…this last one has been the most important areas but I never would have known it before Zev started working with me).
There is so much more….and I'm happy to tell all about it and answer any questions. But I have things I need to do! If any of the above intrigues you or makes you even consider this avenue as an option for improvement, contact Zev and ask for my email address. We can set up a time and I will be to answer any question you have. Trust me when I tell you that Zev will not try and hard sell you on his services….that's not what he's about.
On a FINAL personal note…Zev guidance has help me improve personally. He has pushed me to realize what I am capable of; not just as a business man but as a husband, father, friend, and human being. It is not Zev's direct lessons that are causing this….but rather the way I approach and take action as a result of his lessons, guidance, and recommendations.
