Introduction

I am equipped to teach online and live, in my studio. I do not travel to the student. I love helping students, from age five through adult, learn to play and enjoy the piano. Adults and I especially work well together. Because I started learning viola as an adult, I understand the unique difficulties that adults face. I am comfortable teaching any level or age, from beginner to advanced. I have an eclectic approach and look for what works for each student. I teach in N. Windham, CT, near Storrs UConn. I have a BS in Piano Performance/Music Education from UConn and 30+ years experience. I love teaching new students and seeing their progress, and helping transfer students continue to progress.

My children (ages 6 and 7) have been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Glenister for 6 months. They have had a great experience and look forward to lessons each week! Mrs. Glenister has a very developmentally appropriate approach for each child and strives to make piano a fun experience! With child-friendly motivators/rewards available for consistent practice and song choices that are familiar and fun, she teaches with a positive attitude that has made the experience a great one for us. She would likely also be a great teacher for an older student or adult! Her prices are extremely reasonable as well!
