- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Only that it is fair and reasonable: communication and mutual agreement is key. And always bring up any potential unforseens you may think could occur. That's important. No surprises if you can help it. This basically applies more so to remodeling than new construction. Experience applies here.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My obvious first move would be to contact the person(s}. Gives you the opportunity to not only discuss the job but to also make the potential customer feel a little more comfortable as the conversation progresses. communication. We then plan to meet where we can discuss the details of the project,usually at the site but not always.if there are plans, that's cool,. , if not, no problem, we'll make them if we need them. depending on the job ,it may take more than 1 or 2 meetings to get exactly what the customer wants. notice I use the word 'we' alot. my job is to satisfy the customer and make sure they are involved every step of the way. we would then have to agree on a fair price and aiso on a start date.
