Introduction: When I think about good art, whether it is a logo, a package or even a painting, the basic structure of the design is strong and evident regardless of the medium or even the presence of color. The bones of a classic design prevail.
Trained at the Columbus College of Art and Design as an illustrator with a minor in advertising, I have blended traditional design with state-of-the art digital capabilities primarily as an in-house designer. The opportunity to work with both global brands such as Duracell, Playtex, Seagrams, and Axe as well as regional and emerging entities, such as Chabaso Artisan Bakery, Up Shot energy drinks, Hibe apparel, CEO Daddy and more has been very rewarding for my career.
My approach to a project first starts with the product and service and visualizing how that can best be represented. From the core product or service image follows a build out to optimally achieve the client communication objectives. This proven approach is a reflection of my background, first as an illustrator and then as an experienced digital graphic artist working in a broad range of product categories, mediums and consumer target audiences.
