I recommend Kate Montgomery without reservation. She has an assured command of the two key qualities required to be a successful business writer. Shes a quick study, able to rapidly assimilate the concepts and vocabulary required for effective communication to sophisticated (and unsophisticated) readers. And she is a master of crafting the voice of the deliverable to the target audience. (The latter may come from her award-winning career in film writing/direction.) She will be an asset to any initiative. In the work she did for us she was prompt and responsive. The deliverable was complete and extremely useful. The only improvement I would make in the process would be to have engaged her sooner. She ended up having to deliver a lot on a tight schedule. She achieved that and more, but not without unnecessary worry on our side.

Kate edited my memoir. She's the absolute best. Working with her was a joyful, productive and informative process. Kate has excellent instincts, commitment, an excellent sense of drama, timing and dialogue, a keen understanding of how to develop a story, and respect for the client and his/her goals for the work. Working with her was a process of discovery. I learned so much, and I could not have done it without her. I'm still in the process of finishing up, but I will give Kate proper acknowledgement when the book is published.

Motivational Speaking: Free 20-30 min Consultation $850 for Small groups up to 25, $1200 + for 25+ Workshops: Free 20 min Consultation. Average Fee: $1500 for 2-hr Workshop for 10-15 people Story Editing: Free 20 min Consultation. $100/hour with 2-hour minimum. Fees vary based on the nature & scope of the work. Sliding scale. Ghost Writing: Free 20 min Consultation All Projects Bid on Case by Case Basis
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk about what's needed and then follow up with written proposal that clearly outlines the work to be done. This is signed by both parties prior to commencement.
