FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do a lot of freelancing in NYC to keep up with latest trends and also my suppliers are very helpful when new materials come into the market as far as introducing them to the florists. I also have subscriptions to several wedding and floral magazines and attend trade shows regularly.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always enjoyed fresh flowers and had the desire to work with them as long as I can remember. When my children were old enough I went back to school at Parsons School of Design in NYC and from there I opened my floral business in 1998. It has proved to be a source of very hard work but well worth the effort when you see a beautiful prodouct at the completion of your work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Some of the types of jobs I do are dinner parties, birthday bouquets, showers, graduations and of course weddings.
