Introduction: I offer private violin instruction in my home studio in South Windsor, CT. I have over 20 years of experience, over 12 years in teaching.
Although I am classically trained, I also teach fiddle and folk and will customize a lesson program to your needs. My students range in ability; and I love working with beginners. All ages are welcome; I have students ranging from 4 years old to 70!
I am available on weekends and evenings. I charge $25 per half hour and $50 per hour.

Can't say enough about Caitlin. I love how she teaches.
I am a senior learning the violin and not the quickest learner on the planet. My past experience in learning the violin involved a single focus on technique for the classics which was not my goal. I simply wanted to learn to play music - Irish, Scottish, Old time, Bluegrass, etc.
Caitlin has embraced my desire to simply "play" the violin but does no exclude the importance of technique.
If you want to learn for the love of leaning and playing, I highly recommend Caitlin.

Caitlin is a excellent teacher, focusing on form and proper beat. She has the patience of a saint, especially with this 62 year old who is not as nimble as he use to be, offering ways to get around the stiffness in my fingers. I would rate her with the highest possible rating available.
