FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic pricing is based on my services as listed in my contract. The extra fees are for extended travel beyond my usual area, or extended delays that prohibit me from other work and job opportunities, rehearsals and writing vows are extra. My services include consultation, writing of a custom ceremony, my commitment to your date and time and a free zoom or FaceTime rehearsal
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone call appointment to talk about the ceremony and what the couple has planned or is maybe still deciding. I also like to make sure that we “click” and have a familiarity with one another which helps to make the ceremony more personal. When I create a ceremony I always use the questionnaire I send couples with my contract so that I can write a ceremony reflective of both individuals and as a couple. My couples are included in the process and view their ceremony so that they can make any changes or additions. I go over some added parts of ceremonies that may want to be included like a hand fasting or a unity candle . I like to give options .
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a education in creative writing, English And public speaking. I have been working in the field for over 25 years. I also have a degree in business and accounting that lends itself to my organizational skills, accountable and responsible nature. I hold a notary license as an officer of the court for 31 years and an officiant for 27 years in all 50 states. My college career and degrees included theology which when creating a ceremony that is based on religion my education in theology is helpful in being aware, educated and respectful of all religions and beliefs, spiritual as well.
