DJ Child is incredible talented, and I am so glad he dj’d for my mom’s retirement celebration. He exhibited superior professionalism from day one through the planning process. I had some unique music requests to really tailor the event to my mom - I loved how he was a great communicator, making himself available to answer questions and to discuss the playlist, even through my various iterations and changes to the program. He made the process so simple. Best of all, on the day of the event, it really felt like he was a partner in making the event a success. DJ Child does not just sit there and play music. He was actively reading the room and hopping in to make announcements without being prompted to do so, but because he knew when it was needed. He also knew how to adjust the music in order to bring the right energy at various points in the event. For example, the songs he played during our pre-program social hour had guests already dancing with joy! And during a spirited moment of storytelling, he selected a song that really set the tone for that particular moment. As a host with so many things to juggle, I appreciated his expertise in how music can really make the mood and that I really did not need to think about it on the day of — he had it all under control. As for the technical aspects, DJ Child comes with quality equipment, sets up quickly, and truly is a full package deal. I would highly recommend him to DJ any event - this is a top notch and seasoned professional.

Best DJ ever!! Attentive to what we asked for and exceeded all expectations. Highest possible recommendation. We hired DJ Child for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah party this past weekend and the music & emceeing was on point. I asked DJ Child to make the kids (mostly 12 and 13 year olds) the focal point of the music choice, and he did: they were on the dance floor all night having a great time, with a great mix of mostly current hits plus classic dance songs that the kids also loved. But the adult guests also raved to me how wonderful the music selection was, including my grandmother who is almost 90! Another guest told me DJ Child was so much better than the super-expensive DJ she had at her wedding. I also noticed, when the kids all went outside for 10-15 minutes, he instantly switched up the music to 90s stuff for the Gen X folks who were dancing. Very well played. He played at the perfect volume for the space, and had a phone number displayed where guests could text their requests. He played all the requests, and also made my daughter feel special as the guest of honor by letting her picks go to the front of the queue. I had also asked DJ Child to be subtle with the emceeing; not pushing things too hard, but reading the room and matching/raising the energy when appropriate. He could not have been better. He stuck to music while guests were eating at the beginning, and then had a great rapport with the guests once people started dancing. The highlight was when he ended the night with my daughter's favorite song, and he noticed the way her friends were around her, and he called out for them to cheer her on in a circle around her, and they did while she laughed and danced in the center. It's kind of hard to describe here, but it was a perfect, unforgettable moment for us that DJ Child really orchestrated with great timing and feel. As far as logistics, great communication: responsive; straightforward about his services and prices; and didn't push or try to upsell like some other DJs I had considered. Extremely professional, personable, and right on time. I also appreciated that he continued to play some music (more quietly) while he packed up when the party ended, so there wasn't an abrupt stop to the music. And he made sure to discuss with us in advance about how we felt about the level of the profanity in songs with all the kids there, which he was attentive to all night. Just a great experience all the way around.

I can't say enough wonderful things about PJ. He worked with our crazy schedule and made everyone feel so at easy. We had last minute changes and for each time his answer was NO PROBLEM!
