I referred this job out because I was unable to accommodate the customer's schedule. The customer improperly left this review on my account. Thumbtack refuses to remove the review even though I did not do the work. I did call the customer several times to try to assist in rectifying the matter, but they refused to let me help. Lesson learned the hard way.
If you have larger pieces of furniture, this is not the mover for you. She arrived at our home with one man and they made no attempt at really trying to move it. I try hard not to commit to jobs that are outside the scope of my capabilities. This was an example of customer expectations not being clearly communicated. I'm not a moving company, but I am able to transport some furniture and/or boxes in my cargo van and my price reflects these capabilities. (Moving companies charge a whole lot more than I do.) The customer did not accurately represent the items being moved--the dining room table weighed about 300 lbs and the china cabinet was the size of a shrank. His wife was pleasant and said she didn't mind that we could not do the job; therefore, I expected that there would not be a negative review since we both agreed that we could have communicated better. This review is more representative of the customer's attitude than my abilities. Thank you.
Denise helped me with the a kitchen island and a bed. Both pieces look amazing and were well put together. She even helped me with a night stand that needed to adjusted and a knob that was not tight even though it was outside of the scope of work that we discussed.
