I found Marissa thru Thumbtack, and was looking for basic professional headshots. After researching prices and packages on Yelp, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect, but Marissa definitely surpassed my expectations. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, which allowed these pictures to look natural and fantastic.
Marissa provided me with 74 images to choose from for a very fair price, with photoshopping included. With her high quality of work and obvious eye for lighting, almost all of the images came out great - I even had trouble choosing just 4. Needless to say, I would recommend Marissa Rauch Photography to anyone looking for quick skilled photos taken by a professional yet personable photographer.

Ms. Rauch is not only a gifted people photographer, but also an ace at relaxing her subject(s) and discerning what they want to see in images of themselves. She is kind and patient and funny, just what the doctor ordered. And her portraits, formal and informal, look natural. Could not be more pleased.

Five stars for Marissa and her assistant! The entire process was easy, straightforward and fast. Marissa put me at ease immediately and provided great advice on clothes I had with me. She is a true pro with poses and understood exactly what I wanted: a traditional executive portrait but one that showed my personality. The final products were polished but showed the true me - the last thing I wanted was a "false image" (though she did manage to "erase" a huge bruise and cut in my lip from an accident the previous day). Would hire her again in a heartbeat.
