As a life-long researcher of German history, I had in my possession several archaic compilations of medieval, 17th, and 18th Century German folk music. I was always intrigued by this sheet music and approached Michael McAnally as someone who has a wide-range of musical knowledge and experience. I was very fortunate Michael agreed to take on this project for me and he succeeded my expectations, bringing these very old and mostly forgotten scores to vibrant life. I am immensely satisfied with Michael's professionalism, musical interpretation and complex arrangements. However I was most impressed by the passion he brought to this project. I have used several of Mikes services. He has composed background music for several short film and animation projects I have created. He also helped arrange a few songs for my old band that we couldn't quite get the sound we wanted. In a matter of hours he was able to fill out the sound and advice. Lastly, I was a flute player who fractured a bone in my finger an needed help strengthening it after it healed. Mike taught me classical guitar to help. I ended up enjoying it so much I put the flute down and still play today. He is a masterful teacher who is also patient and understanding. When composing music for my films he was easy to work with and understood what I needed just from reviewing the raw footage. He had his work completed in time to meet my deadlines and the quality was professional so I did not have to do any sound editing on the back end. I highly recommend his services.

I took guitar lessons from Mike McAnally for four years and, with his instruction, learned to read standard notation and acquired a solid foundation of playing skills. During an 11-year hiatus from playing the guitar on a regular basis and living four states away, I remained in contact with Mike. When he offered the notion of taking lessons from him via Skype I jumped at the opportunity. His teaching methods are effective and he is still able to convey those through this type of format. After two years now of continued lessons on Skype, Mike has helped me regain the skills and techniques I lost over those 11 years, improve my playing and increase my knowledge of music theory. Patience and an understanding that students learn differently is key for any teacher and Mike has those qualities. He is flexible with schedules and produces lesson plans to help students achieve their goals. I highly recommend Mr. McAnally to any guitar student who is looking for quality music instruction.

Mr. Mike McAnally is a great teacher and person. My son took guitar lessons from him through Skype. Mr. McAnally was able to create a schedule fit for my son, even with my son's many extracurricular activities. Later I enrolled my daughter who is an intermediate piano player. Mr. McAnally was able to help her pick up where she had left off from her previous teacher and continue to improve. My kids sound much better with their instruments thanks to Mr. McAnally.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Music lessons are tuition based meaning, a flat rate $120 monthly through PayPal will give you 4 scheduled lessons per month. Or 2 one hour long lessons per month. If more time is needed it will be giving at lesson. Lesson via SKYPE are 30 to 40 minuets on average however, if you need a little more time to complete the lesson it will be giving without extra charges etc. because you already paid the monthly tuition. This includes flexible scheduling and make up lessons are factored in so each student will receive 4 lesson equivalent per month.
What types of customers have you worked with?
For this venue it's teaching Guitar or Bass and keyboards (secondary) I also include music theory with each lesson so that the student can better understand what they are doing and the why. Other jobs are studio producing, composition, occasional performance, contracting& publishing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check them out thoroughly. References and request an interview so you can judge for yourself if it's the right fit for you or your child.
