Melinda contacted me right away to arrange voice lessons via email. We had a telephone conversation to discuss my needs and how she could use her skills to help me achieve my goals. She was direct and professional in answering my questions. I have selected Melinda as a voice teacher and have had 2 lessons so far. She's very knowledgeable and easy to work with. This is my first experience with voice lessons and also with using an internet service to find a vendor and I am quite pleased with the result.

I had my first lesson with Mrs. Melinda Benson this past week, and i cant wait for my next lesson! She was warm and friendly and seemed to love what she does! She seemed excited to teach what she loves doing(singing) and made me feel very comfortable to get started. Her approach was layed back and personal enough to make me at ease, but we were right down to business singing within minutes, which was awsome! Im excited to get on a consistant pace with this lady, anyone who can make me feel that comfortable upon our first meeting makes getting into a routine of lessons something im looking forward to...its encouraging to see a seasoned professional happily teaching***

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always. Last year, I attended a 7 day voice workshop for the National Association of Teachers of Singing. And the year before I went to a 5-day workshop in teaching contemporary and non-classical styles of singing. They were truly inspiring experiences. I also perform regularly and gain new insight from each experience that I can transfer into my teaching.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is my passion and the only thing I could ever see myself doing.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I love when my students perform in recitals and are proud of their accomplishments.
