FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition to clinics and lessons by well known and highly respected international trainers, I attend USEF Sport Horse Judges clinics and am an inaugural and continuing Young Horse Trainers Symposium participant.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I got started in the horse industry when in 1969 I went together with a good friend to his lesson at a local riding school in Denmark. Coming home that day, I was so determined to learn to ride that I managed to convince my parents to allow me this opportunity – no small feat as no one in my family had even been around a horse! Having excelled at dressage and jumping in Denmark and having decided to make training horses my profession, I applied and was accepted into the German Bereiter Apprenticeship program serving under George Otto Heyser, Swedish and Italian Olympic Coach and international dressage rider/trainer; Wichert de Boer, a renowned Dutch trainer; Dierk Groth, a well known Reitlehrer in Schleswig Holstein; and Walter Christensen, trainer of Louise Nathorst and Walk on Top. I was granted my Bereiter license in 1983 after completing extensive testing in Warrendorf, Germany.
