- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At Least every 3 months there is a "CONDO & HOA EXPO" where I normally attend IN Person to learn in seminars about recent Legal changes; and the New changes in Building Construction/Problems/Personal Situations... Plus you need to take courses to accumulate points to renew your CAM License. (or go line & take a Test)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
OWNED Two Insurance Agencies and sold Both. Of course knew a lot of Realtors- I was at a meeting - Hurricane was far away-5-6 days & one had his Daughter getting married; and third semi-managing Condo on the Beach in Boca Raton. They were all going "crazy"....since I was "free"-I said if I could help give me a call. They all called the Next Day! I was managing a Condo/Leasing Apts. & Condos.-boarding them up in event of Hurricane and same for other realtor-list of Condos..... Luckily-which I had bet them all Storm would bypass us and go north-which it did ! I won money off the bets and "got"a Job !
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Since most of our Buildings are old-we have a "lot" of Old Water Heaters/HVAC Units that go bad and leak all over. We have to in ASAP and clean it up and sometimes take out the Unit while waiting for Plumber/AC repair to arrive.
