Mom's Air Conditioner went out on Saturday, May 6th. She Called me around 5p.m. Away on a business trip, I was at a disadvantage.
Got on the internet and contacted several companies without any success. Called Gulfside Air Conditioning and actually spoke to a human being. A very friendly and knowledgeable Technician assured me he would head over to mom's house & call me shortly.
Within a short time, Lee, with Gulfside called. He explained my options with replacing a compressor on a 14 year old system versus replacement. After a thorough discussion and having all my questions answered, I decided it was in mom's best interest to replace system. Gulfside's crew came out Sunday, May 7th and by 11a.m. Job was completed. Come to find out the Technician I had been working with and originally came out to mom's, was the owner.
Lee registered the equipment for the 10 year warranties, met the inspector for mom. Mom had nothing but praise for Lee and His Crew.
Integrity, Honesty & Compassion in dealing with my 87 year old mom.

Called for an Estimate to replace my equipment, ended up with an economical repair. What a RELIEF!
First Company I had out, stated unit could not be repaired. They sure were pushing a New System that in no way I could afford.
Called 2 other Companies out for Estimates. One was a No-Show, the other was more ridiculous than the first Company.
Called Gulfside Air Conditioning & Heating. The Technician that came out was Lee Litton. First thing he asked me was "What is wrong with my unit "? After explaining what the first Company said, he asked me if He could grab his tools and take a look and see what he came up with.
I went back inside and literally was worrying about how I was going to pay for a new system. I'm retired and on a fixed income.
When he came back to my door, I was thinking the worst.
Instead, I got the best news I could hear.
Lee said with a big smile, Mrs. Pierce I got your system up and running. I was elated when he presented me with an Invoice for $178.50. Apparently some wires were fried and a part needed replaced not warranting a complete new system.

Thanks for going above and beyond! Saturday afternoon and the installing contractor tells me he will have to order the parts on Monday. Due to my health and my animals, heading to a hotel is not really an option. I started calling around and after leaving numerous messages with ac companies, I was surprised when I called Gulfside. Lee answered the phone, I explained my dilemma. He stated upfront he could open up any of these Supply Houses, they all have emergency service. He did explain the Opening Fee.
I was more than glad to pay the extra fee to stay in my own home.
He also informed me that's a common problem on my particular unit and assured me that that motor would be a stocked item. He was right.

Availability of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) parts is an Issue when it comes to the indoor blower motor. Most manufacture's, the wiring harness is different. And Generally its always best to go back with original parts than alter the system.

Just Relocated to the area from the Midwest. Being new to the area, I didn't know who to call when Air Conditioner starting giving us problems. Every day, around the same time, unit quits working. Called one of the bigger Companies out. The Technician that came out didn't seem enthused once he found out system was only 18 months old. He messed around outside for what seemed an hour.
He came inside & said he couldn't find any thing wrong. He stated he was more of a Sales/light service Technician. He wrote me up a $90 bill. I asked him what for? He said it was for coming out. I asked him about the air handler in the attic, that he never even looked at. I knew I had better get someone else out.
I got ahold of the right Company the second time around. Gulfside came out within 15 minutes Diagnosed the problem. The Zone board that controls upstairs & Downstairs thermostats was having an intermittent problem. Circuit Board was replaced and my problems were solved.
