Introduction: Robert A. Harper
I'm an artist who happens to be a K-12 art teacher, certified in Florida. I've been teaching drawing classes publicly and privately now for over six years. Learning to draw is like learning to ride a bike. I can teach you the skills you need to be able to communicate your ideas easily and successfully. Outside of education, I'm a sculptor working with copper as my primary medium.
Artist, gallery owner, and educator, Harper has worked for over 35 years perfecting his own techniques in copper. From the sophisticated to the whimsical, the copper forms bring a truly unique quality to each project site. Achieving rich and varied patinas through chemical and heat applications, the surface is always a delight to explore. Each sculpture is sealed when finished to provide many maintenance-free years of enjoyment.
