Needed an exterior door replaced cause previous owner had a cat door installed. Super responsive, arrived 2 days after first contact with a new door and all the tools to replace it. Got a quote on the phone, final price was a bit more due to my door frame being non-standard, with some broken tile and stuff he had to clean up. Took about 1.5-2 hours more than normal. All in all was still a little less than other quotes I received. Still happy.

Our movers left our washer and dryer in garage and told us that we needed our door removed to install them. Dan had moved them both without removing any door (NO damage at all) and installed them both perfectly within 30 minutes. It was also impressive that he moved them both from garage to laundry room without equipment needed. “Professional” movers moved ouR washer and dryer WITH equipment, damaged it and didn’t install them correctly. Dan left them exactly how they were and installed perfectly. 10\10 would recommend !!!

We met Dans functional Build thru Thumbtack. He came to the home within 30 mins of us speaking. He installed 2 door locks, wall mounted 5 TVs, installed/cut 15 (In ceiling) speakers and installed 5 security cameras , he used drop cholths to cover over our floors. He’s very knowledgeable about construction. We are talking now about back yard lighting, other household stuff. I would totally recommend Dan for anyone that needs handy man work, low voltage wiring, cameras, tv installations and home rehabs…. We are really pleased with his work…. Will be using for future projects…. aH

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a regular fee of $65/hr a transportation fee of $50/day I have a minimum charge of 2hours and one days worth of gas for all basic at home projects besides: (Flooring, Painting, Tile, Roofing, Attic work Hauling trash & Complete rebuilds) Work days Mon/Friday 9am-6pm Sat/Sun 10am-5pm
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally start with a message on thumbtack offering to talk on the phone to discuss the details of the job to gather info weather or not a on site estimate will need to be made if not go from there to get materials and set up a date and time the best fits your schedule to get your next home improvements/remodels done
